Junior Kimbrough Altar

This altar features the words to Junior Kimbrough’s “Lord Have Mercy On Me” and is constructed of roofing tin, drum hardware and a speaker all taken from the ashes after his famous juke joint burned in 2000. The three photographs depict the burned cue ball from the pool table, Junior performing in 1996 and Junior’s burial in January, 1998.
